Receives, processes and distributes specimens and/or blood products. Performs various functions, including loading samples onto analyzers, preparing slides for staining and preparing samples for transport to other laboratories.
Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance. Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.Performs projects as assigned as well as serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
Duties will include diagnostic testing in a high-complexity environment, data analysis and reporting, and client relations. Scientists with experience in virology, mycobacteriology, or molecular diagnostics are especially encouraged to apply.
